Great care will be required If you intend visiting Thurrock because you will be driving on some of the most dangerous roads in this country.

Just joking, on a serious note, beware some of our Thurrock roads and lanes constantly (flood) after a heavy down poor due to Thurrock's (blocked drains) and poor surface drain maintenance.

Bring your Sat Nav.
Your Sat Nav will be a vital gadget to bring with you when visiting Thurrock, it will help you get around our Thurrock roads Safely, sadly this is due to some of Thurrock's road signs giving out incorrect information, and some roundabout information signs are obscured and (unreadable) and at some Thurrock roundabouts the information road signs are non existent!

Oh, I nearly forgot, be prepared for an emergency if nature calls, because you will defiantly be crossing your legs and struggling to find a (Public toilet) in Thurrock.

Thurrock Councils poor road maintenance programme is disgusting and is not promoting a good image regarding improving road safety!

The Dangerous road shown in the picture above is one of many roads in Thurrock that has a worn out road surface and in this case deep pot holes that are circled in the picture to reflect my concerns regarding again Thurrock's poor road Safety! Thank you for contributing to this Thurrock Site. Many thanks to the anonymous person who posted the picture above and information regarding the road location through my letter box.

This Site Covers Many Outstanding Problems within Thurrock.
Thurrock has been ear marked by the (Thames Gateway) for total regeneration, sounds good, but don't get to excited some of the changes that have taken place are not all they are made out to be and may affect you!

The Much Needed Cycle Paths!
Over the past few years Thurrock Council have made excellent progress by introducing new cycle paths throughout Thurrock.

Thurrock's Road Safety Improvements Soon Fall By The Wayside.
Thurrock Council are very quick to take credit and keep banging on about how good they are introducing the new cycle paths but appear to shut their eyes when some of the cycle paths disappear due to the lack of maintenance regarding white markings that identify and boarder some of the cycle paths in Thurrock, the picture below will demonstrate my concerns.

It is worth a mention that further down this road where the vehicles are parked on the right, the cycle path markings have been completely eroded

Must Work Together

Teamwork Is Required To Get The Best For Thurrock!
Its time for everybody at Thurrock Council to work together to achieve a Safer and more greener environment that will allow Thurrock to prosper to the full, bickering amongst Councilors, Council officers or ourselves is not going to achieve anything.

Local Or General Election?
I am unbiased to whom I vote for, and I will vote with my feet at all elections when I see some positive results regarding many outstanding problems in Thurrock.

The Asda Roundabout Incorrect Road Sign Agreement,
Thurrock Councils Highways department should never have lied to me, this was the straw that broke the Camels back, and got me to sit down and build this web site, although I have calmed down now, I have lost a lot of Confidence in Thurrock Council.

The Meeting Regarding Asda Roundabouts Misleading Road Sign.
A meeting was arranged by Thurrock's Rt Hon Labour MP Mr McKinley with a Mr Peter Tilbury who at the time was Thurrock Councils Highways Engineer and myself regarding some Thurrock Road Safety regarding missing or incorrect road signs and other outstanding road Safety issues.

When I Left The Building The Agreement Was Changed!
I thought the meeting at the time was a big success, however it turned out to be a farce to shut me up, this became apparent when I received a letter from Thurrock Councils Highways department regarding what they said was agreed at the meeting, at this point I realized that Mr Peter Tilbury and his associate who was also present at the meeting had malipulated the agreed facts, this made me extremely angry, and also made me put my guard up for any future council meetings that may take place.

That is why I took Mrs P.Treadwell (A high Grade ADI Instructor) to the recent council meeting that took place on the 21/1/2009, you can read the full story, and any progress made when you brows the Asda roundabout link. .

What Really Was Agreed
At the meeting

A Tempory Solution Was Agreed At The Meeting
Mr Peter Tilbury agreed that a tempory measure would be put in place by adapting two plates to correct the agreed incorrect Asda roundabout leader board road sign, and the tempory measure would stay in place until a new sign could be installed.

This tempory part of the agreement has not been put in place.
