A
Big Thank You To You All
Our families would like to thank the kind Nurses and
staff for the caring and kindness shown while looking
after my late sister-law during her short recent stay.
Nurses are angels.
Many
Sad Basildon Hospital Visits Opened Our Eye's - 1/6/2008
Four
Weeks Have Passed And The Dirty Foot Prints Still
Remain!
My 86 years of age sister-in-law (An Ex Nurse) was
recently admitted for a short time to a side ward
in the temporary Frank Ahrens (Mary Right) ward with
serious medical problems, before being transferred
to William Harvey Ward.
My
Family Respect And Adhered To The Two Visitors To
A Bed Rule.
While waiting in the corridor outside the Frank Ahrens
Ward with my other 76 year old sister-in-law and my
wife we could not help to notice dirty footprints
on the corridor floor, at the time it was just a passing
glance due to the boredom of taking our visiting waiting
turns, however, FOUR WEEKS later,
the dirty foot prints are still in place! how
often are the floors at Basildon Hospital cleaned?
The
Old Tilbury & Orsett Hospitals Cleansing Put Basildon
Hospital To Shame.
On some visits to the hospital my wife and I detoured
through the corridor of Frank Ahrens/Endoscope to
see how long the dirty foot prints on the floor remain,
and to date 1/6/2007 (4 Weeks) the
floor has not been cleaned.
There
Were No Basic Spare Bed Blankets To Keep My Sister-in-law
Warm!
It is approx 3pm and my dear sister-in-law was shivering
in her bed, and she asked my wife (her sister) if
she would cover her up as she was cold, we noticed
that there was no Blanket on her bed, only a sheet!
I approached a caring ward Nurse and very kindly requested
a blanket only to be informed that there were NO
Blankets available as they have not come
up from the stores yet!
This
very kind caring nurse went onto to say the bed was
stripped in the morning due to my sister-in-law spilling
something on the bed, this was evident
as it was still all over the sheet that also needed
to be changed.
Sadly
this event resulted in me complaining to a nurse until
a blanket was found three floors down, and my sister-in-laws
bed was changed.
This catalogue of events was witnessed by a Thurrock
Councilor who was visiting his relative in the adjoining bed.

I
Would Love To Hear Your Comments Regarding This Subject.
The wife and I have made a lot of visits to
Basildon Hospital due to the above subject, and decided
to have our dinner in the Hospital restaurant.
The
Food Is Good, But How Can Pensioners Afford The Prices!
2
Tea's and 2 Meals - Cost us nearly £10.00, and
then we had the Car
Park £3.00 fee to pay.
How
On Earth Can The NHS Justify These Scandalous Prices?
They will be putting coin slots on the Toilet doors
next.
