Thurrock Council Excuses
&
Global Warming my Ar**

An Election will soon be upon us in Thurrock!!
I and many Thurrock residents are aware that this country has had a fair bit of extra rainfall just recently causing disruption and misery for all road users all over Thurrock, but the flooded roads in Thurrock are not all down to Global Warming although Thurrock council would like you to believe that.

It was a false Economy
Thurrock Councils (mechanical road sweepers) were brought in to

save money, at the time it sounded good, however is may have back fired into Thurrock councils faces, what happens to the dust and debris when the road sweeper vehicle sweeps over road surface drains?

Does the driver lift up the brush when crossing surface drains?
Yer and Pigs can fly!!

It don’t need much working out!
Years of neglect, bad practices and bad maintenance of our drainage systems in Thurrock is one of the main causes of our flooded roads and lanes in Thurrock.

Have you got blocked or clogged up drains in your area? please send me the pictures or email me the location for me to visit to get to get the pics for this site, also email your local councillors to get your problem sorted out, that's what they get their expenses for.

Putting The Cart Before The Horse?
Thurrock Council installs a slippery road traffic Warning sign
when they should be pulling out all of the stops to sort out this serious outstanding flooding road safety hazard.

Erecting a Warning Sign Does Not Remove The Road Safety Hazard!!.

Are Thurrock Council Saving Money On Road Safety Again?
It is common knowledge that the left hand lane just before the roundabout in this Tilbury to Grays slip road has always flooded when we get a heavy shower downfall, this could be the result of poor drain maintenance and should be treated as a priority.

(Ditches have not been Cleaned this year)

Road Side Ditches Are Back Feeding The Roads With Water.
Tilbury's Marshfoot lane may soon become a real Safety Hazard due to the Ditches that do appear to be blocked, they should be clear and free of debris for receiving all of the surface road water from marshfoot lane.

Flooded Road's Are A Common Sight In Thurrock.
I can remember about 10 year's ago when Thurrock Council had there own Sludge Gulpers and drain cleaning vehicle's, the Yellow vehicle were a common sight to be seen in Thurrock cleaning our drain's and surface water arteries.
The drain the the right has silt right up to the top of the grating, this confirm's that the network of surface water arteries must also be silted up!
