Thurrock
Council got rid of the refuse waste contractors due to
the contractors not giving a 100% service, now this site
is aware that Thurrock Councils in house refuse collection
service has not improved as they said it would.
This
site has been made aware that some Thurrock resident’s
refuse bins have been missed for four weeks, and the resident
has had to phone to complain, what is going on? Are the
refuse waste team on job and knock? Or are they now over
worked and they have to miss bins to get the rounds done!!

personally welcome any progress that would make Tilbury
and Thurrock a better place to live, but, not at any cost.
I visited the Port of Tilbury’s exhibition at the
Tilbury Cruise Terminal on the 30th March 2010 regarding
the Port of Tilbury’s attempts to bulldoze through
planning permissions to expand the port of Tilbury’s
foot print that would NOT
benefit the people of Thurrock that they are suggesting.
The
Port of Tilbury’s plans that they are proposing
would be built on flood plains and marsh land alongside
the Tilbury Asda roundabout, the proposals show massive
new warehouses and new business premises, the plans also
show and a new lorry park that would accommodate 600 to700
hundred HGV trucks from all over Thurrock, all of the
hundreds of new HGV traffic movements would be expected
to use the one new proposed new road exit on the existing
inadequate Asda roundabout in Tilbury.
Yes
Thurrock does need a lorry park; however, any new lorry
park must be sited away from residential areas and nearer
to the A13 & M25.
Tilbury’s
roads infrastructure cannot cope with any extra volume
of traffic.
I
object to the Port of Tilbury’s new expansion proposals

The
Picking Sticks and Locking the Park gates will not
sort this problem Out!!
The pictures above were received from two very concerned
Grays Thurrock residents regarding filth and debris
in the back alleyway that run's behind Bedford road
and Clarence road,hypodermic Needles were found
only last week in this alleyway and Grays Police
were informed and they were removed the next day.
Drug
Users Have asses to the Park at all Hours.
There are several breeches in the Grays Park Boundary
wall allowing entry to the Park at all hour's, it
has been said that it has been observed that the
Park Gates are locked every evening, Why is Thurrock
council wasting our money locking Gates that are
severing no purpose?
The

The fighting and bickering is still continuing
within Thurrock's Conservative Party, Mrs Cheale
says that the Conservative Cabinet and councilors
have no power's over Thurrock's council officers!
Well
done Mrs Cheale.
I
agree with you, I have also been saying that Thurrock
Conservative Councilors and cabinet members have
not got any powers over Thurrock's council officers,
and that is why Thurrock is in such a mess.
Getting
rid of Thurrock's Conservative leader is only a
start.

Cllr Rockcliffe begging for Vote's again?
Conservative
Cllr Rockcliffe is putting the Cart before the Horse
again.
How can
Cllr Neil Rockcliffe (the Conservative cabinet member
for Thurrock) say the accident figures in Thurrock
have fallen when he himself says the figures have
only been released provisionally?
I think
Cllr Rockcliffe is spouting off dreams and begging
to win votes at the next Thurrock local election.
Thurrock’s
residents and drivers must be amazed at Cllr Rockcliffe’s
comments and wonder if he is looking through somebody
else’s rose tinted glasses.
How
many times most weeks is the A13 closed and traffic
diverted due to accidents in Thurrock?
How many
times a week are Thurrock’s towns and villages
grid locked due to accidents in Thurrock?
Cllr
Rockcliffe wants to get off his backside and really
make some positive commitments and decisions that
would benefit all road users in Thurrock, he could
start by correcting Thurrock incorrect road signs
and markings, all he has done so far is to look
after his own patch, at the
expense of all Thurrock’s London road residents.
What
qualifications does Cllr Rockcliffe hold to be given
the post of looking after our road safety infrastructure?
Will
Cllr Rockcliffe or the leader of Thurrock’s
Conservative Cabinet respond!

Received from a Thurrock Resident
Hey, just thought I'd bring your attention to some
photos I took today of the parking area behind Dock
Road in Tilbury. This area is in serious need of
a clean up by the council. Potholes, fly-tipping,
almost total lack of a safe road surface, rubbish
everywhere and weeds and bushes taking over. I've
contacted the council but no reply as yet.

In this Countries recession all Thurrock councilors
should be working together to get our economy back
on its feet, this will not be archived by introducing
scatty new parking fee's that will only result in
more local shops and businesses closing.
If
Corringham loses this fight regarding parking fee's,
The council will be rolling out parking fee's all
over Thurrock, and more local shops and businesses
will close.

Did Thurrock Councils Cleaners Last Visit This Public
Walkway?
In all fairness to Thurrock Council the roads
on the main routes have seen some improvements over the
last couple of years, however, now is not the time for
Thurrock Council to start patting each other on the back,
the alleyway highlighted in the picture above is well
used by commuters who have parked in the nearby car park
before making the short foot journey through this Public
walk way to Tilbury Town station, and I understand from
my observation and comments in the letters page of our
local Thurrock Gazette that back alleyways, some side
roads, and country lanes it is common place!

Orsett Hospital
Car Park Full!
 The
Car's Were Queuing In Both Directions.
I had to visit Orsett Hospitals Hearing aid department
today - 17/12/2008 and I had to park my car in the Orsett
village by the church due to the congestion outside Orsett
Hospitals car park due to cars queuing in both directions,
back to the school and the little One-way lane.
The
frustrated drivers were NOT
rushing to queue up and pay the scandalous NHS
Basildon's / Thurrock parking fee's, they were
only trying to keep their Hospital appointment that the
NHS is always going on about regarding patients canceling
appointments at the last minute.
I
wonder why?
An
Accident Waiting to happen.
If
the local Orsett school is for local children, where do
all the cars come from that block up all the roads and
make the area around the school and Hospital dangerous
due to there being no pick up car park!

According to the (free News paper) The Enquirer, Thurrock
Council registered the second highest figure in Eastern
England regarding £2.1m outstanding taxes
from 2007 to 2008 financial years.
The Cash Shortfall Will Result In More Hefty Local
Tax Rises In Thurrock's
It Does Appear that Thurrock Councils Conservative Administration
needs to get its act together, and then maybe we can achieve
lower Thurrock Council taxes, tax is only fair
if we are all made to pay.
Will

What action is Thurrock Councils Conservative
Administration going to take to correct this outstanding
