The procedure regarding the replacement of Concrete lampost
with the new tubular type is an ongoing project throughout
Thurrock and the Country due to Health & Safety for
all concerned.

Another Old lampost is struck down, the picture to the
right is showing the Contractors that have just struck
down a concrete lampost and they are in the process of
installing a new steel tubular replacement this is one
of the reason that the old speed repeater road signs in
Thurrock are in decline!
Old
repeater Sign Was Not Re-used!
I watched an old Concrete lampost being taken down on
the old Dock approach Road that had a repeater sign attached
to it, however the old repeater sign was not moved over
onto the new lampost, Why?

Council must Set An Example Regarding Their Recycling
Rules!
If the old signs were discarded or dumped in a skip, Thurrock
Council should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this
bad practice to take place, when they are trying to encourage
all of us to recycle more of our waste!
